This exercise move from our systems maps into an individual design project. To make the systems map, it required observation and analysis to say something about how the village works. We highlight an essential element in the village and make a system map of it. In the design phase of the studio, it rely on the conclusions that we have made through our research and system mapping, and stand on them as a firm foundation.
In designing, we grow out of an insight or analysis that the systems maps uncovered so as to ameliorate problems existing in the village.
